Topokki are stick shaped rice cakes cooked in a spicy sauce. Dongwon's tteokbokki is made with a secret topokki sauce that is both sweet and spicy resulting in a tasty flavor combination. The rice cakes have a soft and chewy texture that carries the sauce well. Korean spicy rice cakes are a popular snack that is often enjoyed with cheese added to help cut the spiciness of the tteokbokki with a creamy flavour.
- Put rice cake and soup base in the bowl.
- Pour water into the water line inside the bowl.
- Cook in the microwave for 2:30 min. (1000w) or 3 min. (700w) and mix well.
